WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO PANEM?

"what do you think has happened since the USA don't exist anymore, and a new country, Panem, has appeared instead?" 

President Snow has changed the USA to something new, which is called Panem.  

Panem is built from 12 districts, and you come from one district. It's more difficult to be in district 12 than district 3. President Snow wanted power so he changed the country USA to Panem.  

President Snow killed the USA president, which was Donald Trump. So President Snow took over the country.   

He took the idea from the earlier president Donald Trump. Donald Trump wanted to build a wall along the border to Mexico. President Snow merged together some states into one, so it could be two or more into one state. He built a fence instead of a wall around each state. One state is now one district.  I think this is the future. In Panem President Snow has created a live and death battle. The movie is based on the future.   

This is why Panem has appeared instead of the USA.
